The main objective of Mukhyamantri Kisan Parivahan Yojana in Gujarat is to enable farmers to sell their agricultural produce to other places. This scheme will realize the PM Modi's vision of Doubling Farmers Income by 2022.



Gujarat government has started Kisan Parivahan Yojana 2020-21 for farmers. Under this scheme, govt. will provide subvention of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 for procuring light load bearing vehicle. Farmers may soon be able to apply online by filling Gujarat Kisan Parivahan Yojana 2020-21 online application / registration form.

It has become operational from 1.12.2018.
Under the scheme an income support of Rs.6000/- per year in three equal instalments will be provided to small and marginal farmer families having combined land holding/ownership of upto 2 hectares
Definition of family for the theme is husband, wife and minor children.
State Goverment and UT Administration will identify the farmer families which are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines.
The fund are going to be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
The first instalment for the amount one.12.2018 to 31.03.2019 is to be provided in this financial year itself.
There are various Exclusion Categories for the scheme.










Exclusion Categories

The following classes of beneficiaries of upper economic standing shall not be eligible for profit underneath the theme.



(a) All Institutional Land holders.
(b) Farmer families within which one or a lot of of its members belong to following classes
i) Former and present holders of constitutional posts
ii) Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
iii) All serving or retired officers and workers of Central/ government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and connected offices /Autonomous establishments underneath Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies
(Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)
vi)All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/-or more
(Excluding Multi Tasking workers / category IV/Group D employees) of on top of class
v) All Persons UN agency paid tax in last assessment year
vi) Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, hired Accountants, and designers registered with skilled bodies and closing profession by endeavor practices.

Agricultural loans are availed by a farmer to fund seasonal agricultural operations or related activities like animal farming, pisci-culture or purchase of land or agricultural tools. Seasonal agricultural operations include routine activities like preparing and ploughing land for sowing, weeding, and transplantation where necessary, buying inputs such as fertilizers, seeds, insecticides etc. and engaging labour for cultivating and harvesting the crops

In addition purchasing of land, or purchasing of agricultural tools, storage of produce and transport also are included under purview of agricultural loans.

Farmers can avail an agricultural loan starting at 8.80% p.a. and with processing fee ranging between zero to 2% of the loan amount.

The state has achieved an average agricultural growth rate of over 10% in the last decade. For the first time in the country, the state has given innovative programs like Krishi Mahotsav and Soil Health Card. An innovative step has been added to this development journey this year. Farmers in the state can get timely information about farm inputs required for farming, state-of-the-art agricultural information can be made available at their fingertips, farmers can easily avail various welfare schemes at home and know the current market prices of weather and agricultural products. The i-farmer portal is implemented by the department.

The state government has announced a budget of Rs. 900 per month for approximately 50,000 farmers for raising cows and shifting them to cow based aquaculture. Accordingly, the government will now provide Rs. 10800 per cow to the farmers every year. Apart from this, farmers are also required to pay Rs. 50000 will be assisted. In addition the farmer will be able to build a godown on his farm without NA. For that, the government will provide assistance of Rs 30,000 per farmer. The farmer has to build this godown on his farm and does not have to get any kind of government approval for it.

Farmers Accidental Insurance Scheme
Introduction Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: Government of Gujarat has implemented Farmer’s Accidental Insurance Scheme since 26th January, 1996 to provide insurance coverage to the registered farmers in case of accidental death or permanent disability. This scheme is 100% sponsored by State Government. In this scheme, insurance premium is paid by the State Government for all farmers. This scheme is implemented under the Gujarat Community Group-Janta Accidental Insurance Scheme from 01/04/08 through Director of Insurance, Gandhinagar.



Objective Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: The main objective of the scheme is to assist the successor of the registered farmer, all child (son/daughter) of the registered farmer and the husband/wife of the registered farmer in case of death or disability due to accident.

Beneficiary Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: In case of accidental death or permanent disability, all registered farmers, any child (son/daughter) of the farmer and husband/wife of the farmer having age of 5 to 70 years are beneficiaries for the scheme.




Main Conditions: Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: Deceased or Permanent disability person should be registered farmer (Have Individual or Joint name land) or child of registered farmer (Son or Daughter) or the husband/ Wife
Death or permanent disability must be due to accident
Suicide or Natural death are not covered in this scheme.
Deceased or Permanent disability person having age of 5 to 70 years.
Application should be made within 150 days to the office of concerned District Agriculture Officer

Revised Rate of Assistance Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: As per Agriculture, Farmers welfare and Cooperation Department’s revised resolution dated 13/11/2018, assistance for the beneficiary revised as below.

In case of accidental death or permanent disability 100% assistance of Rs. 2.00 lakh



In case of accidental loss of two eyes / two limbs / hand and leg / one eye and one hand or leg 100% assistance of Rs. 2.00 lakh (100% full sight loss in case of eye, In case of hand- loss of upper part of the wrist and in case of the leg- totally cut off from the knee)
In case of accidental loss of one eye or one limb 50% assistance of Rs. 1.00 lakh
Sequence of the beneficiary under the scheme in chronological order
Husband /wife : In his/her absence
Children son/Daughter : In their absence
Parent Father/mother : In their absence
Grand Son/Grand Daughter : In absence of I, II, III
Unmarried/ Widow/ Exiled Sister who are dependent and living with the beneficiary
Any heirs declared under the Heirs Act applied to the beneficiary involved in other than above mentioned cases and controversial case

How to get benefits of the scheme Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: In case of accidental death, applicant will be accidental farmer's successor and in the case of accidentally disability, applicant will be disable person himself. Applicant should submit the application along with the relevant papers in the prescribed format to the concerned District Agricultural Officer, District Panchayat within 150 days from the date of death or date of accidental disabilities. Application received after 150 days will not be eligible.

Changes in Scheme Of Khedut Akasmat Sahay Yojna :::: With the resolution dtd.25.06.2007 of Finance Department, Govt. of Gujarat, clubbed accidental insurance schemes of the various departments of the State in one comprehensive insurance scheme, in which Farmer Accidental Insurance Scheme is included. The scheme is implemented by the Director of Insurance, Gandhinagar from 01/04/08. Comprehensive resolution was issued on 01.04.2013 by amendments to the resolution dated 25.06.2007 of the Finance Department.

First surviving Child (Son/Daughter) of the registered farmer was covered from 01/04/2012 and the Husband/Wife of the registered farmers was covered from 01/04/2016 in Farmer Accidental Insurance Scheme.
