As many as 112 cases of corona have been reported in the state since 9 am. While 13 patients have died and 8 patients have been discharged. At the same time, there are 2178 corona patients in the state. Of these, 139 have recovered and 90 have died. As many as 127 cases were reported and 6 died from this evening till this morning. With this, 239 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the state and 19 patients have died.

A total of 364 people have been arrested across the state for violating the curfew. 163 people were arrested in Ahmedabad, 125 in Surat and 70 in Rajkot, said state police chief Shivanand Jai. Only 20 patients from Ahmedabad were discharged from the hospital on Monday. A total of 131 have been discharged.

Curfew extended in metros till April 24

The curfew has been extended in Surat and Rajkot, including the Kot area of ​​Ahmedabad in the state, state police chief Shivanand Jai said, adding that most of the cases in the state have been registered in these three cities. The new 139 cases include 99 in Ahmedabad, 22 in Surat, 14 in Vadodara and one each in Rajkot, Bharuch, Dahod, Narmada.


Out of a total of 1743 patients on 14 ventilators, 1632 were stable, 105 were healed and 63 died.

In the state since last night, 228 more Corona cases have been registered and 5 people have been killed since last night. With this, a total of 1604 patients have been registered till now. The death toll was 58 as well. But after 10am, another 139 positive cases have been registered and five more have been killed. This resulted in a total of 1743 patients and 63 deaths. While 105 people have recovered.


On this occasion, Health Principal Secretary Jayanti Ravi said that by 10 pm till 5 pm, 99 positive cases have been registered in Ahmedabad, 22 in Surat, 14 in Vadodara and one positive case in Rajkot, Bharuch, Dahod and Narmada. While 5 have died and 11 have been discharged after they were healed. Of the total 1743 patients, 14 are on ventilator while 1632 are stable and 105 have recovered and 63 have died.

Regarding the status of Lockdown Part-2, the state police chief, Shivanand Jha, said that so far 23 police personnel have suffered coronas. The police personnel on duty are being monitored.
